Sony adds to its Cyber-shot lineup a new ultra slim digital camera, the DSC-TX66 that measures just 12.2mm at its thinnest part, which is about the thickness of a standard AA size battery. The camera sports a 18.2 Megapixel Exmor R CMOS image sensor and a 5x optical zoom lens. It features super fast AF speed of approximately 0.13 second in daylight, 0.25 seconds in low-light, and packs BIONZ high-speed image processor. The TX66 also includes Extra High Sensitivity technology for enhanced low light performance.

The clear image Zoom technology extends the zoom range from 5x to 10x at full resolution, and the Optical SteadyShot with Active Mode is included to reduce camera shake, allowing users of TX66 to capture blue-free image and videos. Though compact and slim, the TX66 comes with most features you found on other bigger size Cyber-shot cameras, including 3D still image and 3D Sweep Panorama mode, Background Defocus, Intelligent Scene Recognition mode, Motion Detection, Face Detection, Smile Shutter, Anti-blink, Soft-skin mode, Superior Auto mode and Photo Creativity interface plus 9 Picture Effect options for creating unique, custom-styled photos and video.
